Don't you think it would be awesome if everyone just dropped their facades and fessed up to
who they really are? Well I do, it would also be nice if there wasn't any beating around the
bush. If you've known me for any length of time you probably know that I'm a bit blunt but
hey at least I'll tell you how it is right? This came to mind because of a conversation about
how people can seem fake. Have you ever been around someone who will be one way with
one group of people but then they become a completely different person when they're with
another group? Well I've known people like that and it really gets on my nerves, but when I
stop to think about it don't we all do that to some extent? From what I've seen most people
are far different with their parents than they are with their friends. Have you ever stopped
and wondered why this is? If not maybe you should even if its just for a self evaluation so see
if you might be one of the people who does this. What is the point of hiding behind a false
you, or could the false you be the true you? If you have a problem with being two or more
different people with different friends ask yourself why. Is it so that you can impress a certain
person that you are with or is it just due to the influences that other people have on you when
you are with them? The constant need to 'fit in' to feel loved is a sad truth of our society
these days, we must conform to fit into the container that society puts us in or we might risk
social rejection. But where should we draw the line? Since people who don't conform in any
way or at least try to broaden their scope of existence can sometimes become serial killers,
extreme sociopaths, child rapists, or maybe just the kid at school who decides that since
nobody will accept them they should just kill all of the people that don't accept them,
somewhat like the killers at columbine. In some of those cases our society's nonchalance
about rejecting these people may have made them into the socially inept people that makes
them stick out in our minds as evil or psychotic. When all someone has known is social
torment from classmates and parents and teachers their whole life how are they supposed
to find a way to cope? Instead of finding productive things to occupy their time they might
instead get thoughts of revenge towards the people who make them feel unloved or rejected
the most. This makes me wonder whether or not a good Christian friend or two could have
made all the difference in their lives by showing them Christs love and compassion but not
just from a Christian mask that they wear but from the 'real' person that loves Jesus.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could do our best to love God through loving people like these
who are hurting the most? Even an enemy could become a friend, if all you ever show
towards them is love how could they turn any animosity in your direction? Eventually they
might start reciprocating the kindness that you've shown them and start helping people who
were/are just like them. This kind of reminds me of the movie pay it forward, if you
help...what is it like 3 people and then those 3 help 3 and so on and so on then the world
would definitely be a better place. But doing something that could change someones life is
difficult to do all at once. Wouldn't it be better to show people the love of Christ from the
start? Then they would be more likely to stay away from that downward spiral that would
bring about the destruction of their souls. So don't put on a mask when you walk out the
door, be your one true self and use that self to show Gods love to everyone you come in
contact with so that we might help to cure this social distortion that stains our world.
I think I may have rambled a bit to much but I hope you could get something out of this.
Sincerely, The Red Headed Step Child

I think I had already updated this now that I think about it but I didn't add in which books were new and which were old. haha oh well with the new editions according to my goodreads account I have currently read 147 books 11 of the ones I added were from 2015. My goal is to read 50 new books this year so with 5 months down I only have 11 I think I need to get to work, 39 more to go and I am currently ready about 17 books so if i finish those I'm about half way there. Time to get reading!!

blah blah blah
hmm the world of blogging has just been opened up to me so I haven't the foggiest of what to say for my first post...how about a poem of my surroundings.
Couches cover floors as the wind blows through, heat resonates both inside and out although testosterone that festers in the air may make us go insane, those lacking the y chromozome enter our sanctuary of solitude. As the estrogen mixes with the thick male musk, anger and vengence subside back to a low hum. sheathing their light-sabers they call it a draw refusing to admit to the defeat that was inevitable after loosing extensions of their core.
well I'm not sure how that was being the first poem I've written but I hope it is enjoyable.
till next time I bid thee all adieu
